A Girl Dad is...

Girl Dad

/ɡərl dad/

 [Noun:] Informal

A girl dad is an intensely proud father who loves fiercely. He educates, inspires and unapologetically advocates for his daughter (s) to have the same rights, opportunities, and privileges as any boy.

That is the definition I came up with, after months of rewrites. I wanted to truly capture the vision I had for the brand, myself and every Girl Dad out there. So in this blog, I want to dive a little deeper into the definition and dissect a little more what it means to be a Gil Dad.

PROUD: It goes without saying that as parent to either a boy or a girl, we are very proud of our kids. And as a father of a girl we tend to have an extra puff in our chest of our little princesses, i don't know maybe its the divine feminine energy we feel.

Loves Fiercely: This one is self explanatory, we want to protect our girls, we want to shelter them from any heartache or discomfort. So we are like a tight formed militia when it comes to loving and protecting our girls.

EDUCATE: This is a very important quality. We must first educate ourselves. Constantly seek knowledge and information. Then we must share that knowledge and information with not only our girls, but with one another. What's the saying, teach one, reach one?

INSPIRE: Inspire by action, not words. The way we carry ourselves speaks louder than any word we can utter from our lips. You should inspire accountability from those around you to do better.

Unapologetically Advocates: This one is particularly important to me and the brand. I aim to use any platform that is available to push whatever necessary agenda so that my daughters and all other kids can have a fair chance at a happy childhood and a flourishing adulthood.

The status of the world today can seem a very scary place to raise kids. But I assure you, if more dads, more moms, more grandparents unapologetically advocate for the things that matter most to us, our kids future will look a lot better.

Much obliged for reading.
